Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023
- Beneficiaries under this scheme will be selected/determined based on parameters showing housing shortage in SECC 2011 data, followed by validation by Gram Sabha.
- Under PM Gramin Awas Yojana List 2023, as per SECC 2011 statistics, those beneficiaries will be selected in place of BPL list, homeless families or those living in houses with one or 2 thatched walls and thatched roof.
- Homeless families of each category like SC, ST, Minorities and others will be given first priority and one or 2 raw houses will be given from among the eligible beneficiaries.
- Under this scheme, no preference will be given to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Castes, Minority families and families having more than 1 or 2 rooms in each such category.

Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme 2023
Under this scheme, the central government is providing financial assistance to vulnerable groups in rural areas to build their own thatched houses and the government is also providing financial assistance to renovate old houses. This cost will be borne by Central Government and State Government on 60:40 basis. The ratio is 90:10 in case of North Eastern states and three Himachal states namely Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Under the Rural Housing Scheme 2023, in case of Union Territories, the entire cost will be borne by the Central Government. Under this scheme, the central share will be Rs 81,975 crore out of the total expenditure. 60,000 crore of which will be Rs. Fulfilled with budgetary support. And the remaining Rs 21,975 crore will be met by borrowing from the National Bank for agriculture and rural development. Which will be revised after 20223 through budgetary grants.
Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2023
- Under this scheme, such households should not have any adult members aged 16 to 59 years.
- Female heads of households with no adult members aged 16 to 59 years
- Households that should not have any educated adult member above 25 years of age.
- Families where any member is a disabled person or where any adult member is not physically able.
- Landless families are daily wage labourers.
