Lotus in the Logo of G20 Summit, BJP-Congress in the Political Arena
The G20 summit is going to be held in India itself in 2023 next year. On the occasion of this conference, the Modi government released a new logo. The image of the lotus flower, which is the national flower of India, was chosen as the symbol of the convention. Also the election symbol of BJP. There is a dispute between BJP and Congress regarding this issue. BJP is promoting its own party in international conferences, Congress has made such allegations. In return, the BJP claims that the opposition is insulting the national flower of the country.
The logo of the G20 summit was unveiled on Tuesday. In this, G-20 is written in the tricolor, on which ‘0’ is written on the lotus flower. From there the controversy started. The opposition feels that the BJP is actually promoting its own party through this Padma Phool. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted, ‘Seventy years ago there was a proposal in Congress to consider the flag as the national flag of the country. But Jawaharlal Nehru rejected that proposal. But now the BJP’s election symbol is being used in the logo of the G20 summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party leave no chance to promote themselves.

The BJP responded to such comments. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, ‘God knows why Congress always criticizes. Congress is marching to unite India, on the other hand they are insulting the national flower of the country. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Congress is actually insulting Hinduism. Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati are associated with the lotus flower. He tweeted, ‘Lotus is our national flower. There is also a lotus on the seat of Maa Lakshmi. I want to know, Congress is trying to insult the national flower? Incidentally, the name Rajiv also means lotus. Hopefully Congress will not have any objection to this.”
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the logo of the G20 summit has been decorated in the colors of the national flag. A mixture of earth and lotus is also kept. This logo symbolizes that one can move ahead despite facing challenges. This year 2022 G20 summit is going to be held in Bali, Indonesia From there India will take the responsibility of the next President.
